This is Samsung 837, where technology and culture collide.
Located in the heart of the Meatpacking district in NYC, Samsung 837 combines art, fashion, technology, and sport in unprecedented ways. It’s not a store, but a new kind of place filled with ideas, experiences, and Samsung’s cutting edge devices.
Samsung 837 is where anyone can try out augmented reality, take part in interactive art installations, and see a larger-than-life, three-story screen. It’s home to live music performances, exclusive screenings, and radio recordings.
The space was designed by WonderWall Inc. and features an amphitheater area, DJ booth, customer service and experience area, and café.
The Hasso Plattner Institute for Design Thinking is organizing a three-hour Design Thinking workshop on August 7, 2019, in collaboration with A New Reality.
The goal of the workshop is to utilize the Design Thinking methodology to enable girls, ages 12-16, from underserved areas in New York City, discover their leadership potential, build creative confidence, and explore ways that they can make a real difference in their own communities.
The workshop will achieve this by focusing on one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Sustainable Cities and Communities. You can find additional information about the Hasso Plattner School of Design Thinking here
Participants will continue working on the prototype designs created at A NEW REALITY: Tech Summit Second Edition.

We all use software practically every day – often without even realizing it! As our lives are transformed by the digital age, programming is becoming an important life skill.
In this bootcamp, we want to show you how anyone can start building their own programs using Snap! – a block-based, open source programming language.
Its colorful, intuitive interface makes learning fast and fun – even for the most technically challenged! If you have already done some programming in Scratch, you’ll feel instantly at home. If not, don’t worry! Using animations, games, and artwork, we’ll bring out the artist – and computer scientist – in you.
Learners young and old, experienced and novice alike will soon discover why Snap! is becoming the programming language of choice for researchers and teachers of computer science around the world.
