OUR SPEAKERS.

A New Reality Tech Summit for Girls will provide girls with the technical and professional skills to shape their career aspirations and goals. It will also give girls from underrepresented communities access to corporate spaces while creating mentorship opportunities with STEM industry professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, creatives and leaders. Meet some of our mentors below.

Ryann Richardson
Ryann Richardson is a consumer technology marketer, brand strategist, and diversity and inclusion advocate who works with business leaders and hiring companies to shape the future of the industry. She is the Co-Founder and President of ExecThread, where she helps underrepresented senior-level talent attain elusive executive career opportunities, and guides businesses in increasing the diversity of their leadership ranks.

Ryann was previously Vice President of North American Marketing for the on-demand private jet marketplace, Victor. She spearheaded the UK-based brand’s entry into the US market, driving user acquisition, brand development, and retention and loyalty strategy. While operating the American business unit, Ryann also headed global culture building at Victor, leading the organization in crafting its Core Values and establishing an international culture champions team.

Ryann is a frequent speaker and panelist, covering issues of access, opportunity, and economic mobility for underrepresented populations. In 2018 she was named the 50th Anniversary Miss Black America and was also recognized by Savoy Magazine on its annual list of Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America.

Dr. Tammy Lewis Wilborn

Dr. Tammy Lewis Wilborn is “America’s #1 Mental Health and Wellness Expert.” Dr. Wilborn is a Board-Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Approved Clinical Supervisor and a National Certified Counselor. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Counseling at the University of New Orleans and Owner and Chief Clinical Officer of Wilborn Clinical Services, a multi-service practice based in New Orleans, Louisiana that provides mental health counseling, continuing education training, consultation, wellness coaching, and wellness events.

Dr. Wilborn has 18+ years of clinical experience working with a diverse clientele of children, adolescents, and adults. She is an in-demand keynote speaker who has presented extensively on wellness, mental health, self-care for professionals, cultural responsiveness in practice, supervision, and research; Black women’s work experiences, women’s empowerment to national, regional, state, and local organizations and professional associations.

Dr. Joann Halpern
Dr. Joann Halpern is the director of the Hasso Plattner Institute, New York (HPI), a Design Thinking coach, and an adjunct professor of International Education at New York University. Prior to joining HPI, she was the founding director of the German Center for Research and Innovation (GCRI). Before she established GCRI, Dr. Halpern was Director of Academic Affairs and Senior Studies and Assistant Professor of International Education at Global College of Long Island University. She also co-founded Knowledge Transfer Beyond Boundaries, an NGO with projects in Cameroon, Nigeria, and Yemen.

From 1996 to 2001, Dr. Halpern was Director of International Programs at Harz University of Applied Sciences in Wernigerode, Germany. She received her B.A. from Dartmouth College, her M.A. from Harvard University, and her Ph.D. from New York University. Dr. Halpern is a recipient of the Harvard Award for Distinction in Teaching as well as scholarships and fellowships from the Fulbright Association, German Academic Exchange Service, Robert Bosch Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. She serves on the advisory boards of the German Accelerator, Charité Entrepreneurship Summit, Technical University of Dortmund, and University Alliance Ruhr.

Raakhee Tharani Miller is currently the Co-founder and CEO of Bitsian, a values based financial services company, focused on providing better tools for investing in crypto currencies and digital assets.  She has 20+ years of capital markets experience, holding  leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Macquaire Bank,  and SunGard (FIS). Raakhee grew up in Hong Kong and has worked in 4 other countries. She currently lives in New York, with her partner and 2 daughters.

TeLisa Daughtry
TeLisa Daughtry—is an Award-Winning Diversity & Technology Advocate, Serial Social Entrepreneur, M ulti-Disciplined Creative & Tech Futurist, and Investor.
She is the Founder & CTO of FlyTechnista, Founder of STEAMnista--both initiatives have previously been in partnership with The White House in 2016; Founder / Managing Partner / Investor at FemX Ventures; and author of ebook “Learn, Lead, Launch: A FlyTehnista’s Guide to Tech FLY & Hustle FLY”.  

In 2018 she was named 50 Most Influential Women Entrepreneurs in New York City. In 2017 she was an honoree and recipient of an ACT4 Award, recognized for her achievements in technology and advocacy for diversity; a Finalist for Code/Interactive: Diversity in Tech Awards; listed on MIC’s 1,000 Women in Tech and Science Speakers; and named Top 50 Visionary Women in Tech to Watch in 2017. In 2016 she was recognized as a 'Changemaker' by the United State of Women.

Tiffany M. Battle 
The Werk! Place. Engineer Turned Style Influencer!
Tiffany M. Battle is the Digital Curator of a fashion and lifestyle site called The Werk! Place. A native of Southfield, Michigan, Tiffany was born with both an analytical and creative spirit.  Tiffany attended Howard University in Washington, DC where she obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. During her time at Howard, Tiffany became more daring with her style as she drew inspiration from her surroundings and learned the power of her own style.  


Upon graduation, Tiffany moved to Arizona to work as a Process Engineer for one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world. As her own personal style developed, Tiffany became even more interested in the world of fashion. In 2012, after an inspirational trip to Paris Fashion Week, The Werk! Place was born!

She has maintained a formidable voice with features in Man Repeller, Teen Vogue, Huffington Post, Essence, Vanity Fair and hundreds of independent outlets. The self-proclaimed “mixed media maven” earned a Bombshell of the Year nod from Fashion Bomb Daily and she has been featured in Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed Challenge.
